Something utterly spectacular happened! Barbara Theroux, of Fact and Fiction in Missoula, contacted me through this website. I met with her last week and we scheduled a book signing, my very first! I'll keep you updated as things develop.
I also made a big decision. I'm going to change the font of the book. I thought I could live with the one I have but I can't. The down side is that the book will be down--as in unavailable--for between one and two weeks. The really down side is I now must begin the Kindle reconversion over again. For those of you who haven't yet bought your copy but plan to, please be patient. I'll keep you updated. If you patiently await the Kindle version, we're looking at Labor Day, hopefully. This reminds me of a quote my cousin Megan posted "Patience is a virtue, catch it if you can. It seldom visits women and never visits men." The up side to all of this is a better novel. While I'm in there, I'm fixing a couple of typos that were driving me nuts!
Next on the list, more research for the second novel. I need some input from folks who attended Mardi Gras in New Orleans both before and after hurricane Katrina. What are your impressions? What's different? What's the same? Post your comments here on on facebook--and if you haven't already, like the J.W. Swartz facebook page.
